The nigerian prince, Classic Man Jidenna according to his instagram has been touring the sites in Lagos, Nigeria and two things caught my eye. First is his striking sense of style and secondly is his new tattoo sleeve. Literally, from the moment he stepped onto the scene on Janelle Monet’s EP The Eephus Jidenna left an indelible imprint on the minds of his fans across the globe. He does gives you a vibe of a renaissance man, but also a spice of mystery. What I am learning the longer Jidenna remains in the spotlight the more we learn about his artistic view through life purposeful meaning.
So as I happen to be scrolling through social media some of Jidenna images from his shoot with Ink Magazine popped up on my timeline. When I tell you these images spoke to me less about fashion and more about the artist soul. Which is why I had to write a quick blurb about his recent interview with writer Dove Clark.
