Finally An Academy Awards WINNER, “Do The Right Thing” DIRECTOR SPIKE LEE

An epochal evening for the legendary director and filmmaker, mister Do The Right Thing Spike Lee at the 91st Academy Awards this past Sunday (January 24, 2019). Finally, Spike Lee takes home his first-ever Oscar Award for Best Adapted Screenplay the BlacKkKlansman. It is certainly well-deserved for more than thirty decades, this man has been on the front line making films to illuminate the rich heritage of black people and films to invoke thought about race relation of  black people past, present and future.

At the moment, actor and category presenter Samuel L. Jackson said, Morehouse I leaped from the sofa in astonishment finally this night belongs to veteran filmmaker, Spike Lee. It was evident he felt the rush of emotions as well as he leaped into the arms of his dear friend and Morehouse brother, Samuel L. Jackson upon running up to the stage to accept his award. Congratulations Black Man!

 Spike Lee step onto the red carpet wearing a bold purple mohair suit by british fashion designer, Ozwald Boateng with the perfect metallic gold Jordan sneakers. Plus, Spike Lee added some special sauce to his stellar look with the matching purple frames and gold plated brass knuckles, which read, Love on the left hand and Hate on the right hand.

The Academy Awards this year really felt more inclusive by recognizing some of the astounding films created by people of color. Spike Lee is living proof consistency breeds success!
