First of all: Favorite Observation! I absolutely loved the creative direction combining the signature color fusion technique of artist Melissa A. Mitchell into the optics of the event layout design, genius. The picture above showcases her work that I am using as my personal backdrop. Color is life and I love it!
On to the event- Arriving on site to complimentary valet service with FORD #MyFordCity signs all in alignment to set the course for a taste of Essence Fest New Orleans Atlanta style. Essence Magazine and FORD Motor Company unite for My City 4 Ways Atlanta to present a cultural fusion of music, art, lifestyle and exquisite food. Plus, an opportunity to drive or ride in a FORD vehicle and receive an exclusive giftbag full of unique goodies. This premium event was held at Mason Fine Art Gallery.
With the soundtracks of DJ Teknology on the 1’s and 2’s keeping the energy alive, the live performances and conversations hosted by Charreah Jackson (Essence Senior Editor) and the legendary MC Lyte featuring some of Atlanta’s leading influencers and celebrities was very informative and entertaining. The roster of guests included: Kelis (Musician and Chef), Milan Armani (Entrepreneur), Kenya Freeman (Fashion Designer), Joy Black Violinist, Melissa Butler (CEO and Founder of Lip Bar), Melissa Mitchell (Painter/Artist), Chef Aleem (Celebrity Chef) and Monica (Superstar Singer).
Although Midtown Atlanta was popping the #MyFordCity gave attendees a cultural fusion to remember.
