This book is to serve as a source of inspiration for young creatives that no matter what life provides or risk you have to take; if you can think it, you can design it because everything we do in this life is By Design.
I met a very dapper young man of style wearing a bow about 3 or more years ago by the name of Glenn Mckeva Wiggins, Jr. in Huntsville, Alabama, while I was visiting his church to present an award during my days at SHEEN Magazine. At the moment of connection, I knew this young man was a visionary that will someday travel the globe beyond the southern charm of Alabama. And boy, I was right!
Glenn is a brilliant graduate of Alabama A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in International Business and Fashion Design. He is currently described to be a world traveler in pursuance of building a substantial career as a fashion entrepreneur and founder of the False Image Fashion Podcast. Glenn believes, everything we do in life is by design. As a result, the curation of his own Podcast to further share with others his personal conversations with successful enthusiasts discussing their journey into fashion, designing, styling, education, editorial and more in the creative space became an ingenious idea.
The False Image Fashion Podcast’s main objective is to create a space for candid conversations with featured guests who worked in the Fashion/Beauty industry. He says, our conversations is connecting the gap between the balance of life and fashion. We allow our featured guests to speak from their heart and expound on their hardships working within the fashion industry, the purpose of their vision, and secrets to building a sustainable business.
Glenn has revolutionized the podcast medium by crafting seasons turning real conversations fashioned by season 1 and 2 into a masterpiece called, BY DESIGN: Conversations on Concept, Innovation, Craftsmanship and Influence. The book is available for purchase on Amazon and Barnes & Noble with featured guests such as: Haytham Elgawly (Owner of The Clearport), Snezhana Paderina (Fashion & Wearable Technology Designer), Dana Glaesar (Founder & Owner of Slightly Alabama) and Marcus Teo (Creative Director & Former Mens Fashion Director of W Magazine) to name a few sharing their personal journey in fashion.
Entering season 3 of the False Image Fashion Podcast, Glenn by far is showing no signs of slowing in the process of building his empire in the fashion industry. With is his book under his belt, it is a guarantee this will not be the last. Check out Chapter 4: Influence an exert about By Design.
