The city of Inglewood has some of the best Vegan spots in the Los Angeles area. I know for many to hear the word, VEGAN, they instantly start to think about grass. As my friends still tease me about eating grass for breakfast, lunch and dinner. (lol) This is so not true! I love the way I eat and how I feel afterwards.
However to be a vegan requires discipline and a commitment to a lifestyle change of how you view food. By nature I am a foodie with my southern roots deep in the heart of soul food. My grandmother was an exquisite cook. As a result, I grew up eating savory and well seasoned dishes.
My transition was of course gradual and not an overnight success story. In the beginning it was solely a spiritual journey that quickly became a healthy one as well. I believe the wealth of your mind is the wealth of your health.
Since moving to Los Angeles, I am always on the hunt for great Vegan restaurants. By the way, Los Angeles is one of the best places for vegan’s to live because there are a number of options and even weekend vegan fairs to attend.
Every Thursday is usually my day to seek out a new vegan restaurant to try out for the week. So I did some research to discover a new vegan restaurant in Inglewood called, VEGAINZ LA. First of all, when I went to their website (myvegainzla.com) I got hungry because the images of the dishes looked incredibly appealing. Plus, the moniker at the top read some key words I love to see 100% vegan, alkaline food, non processed, no soy, no GMO, and No BS, Periodt. (lol) I was on ready to try out this spot.
My friends and I ordered the Krispy Shicken sandwich, the loaded Mac, another side of Mac and the Pink Starkburst (Pink Guava) to drink. The food was delicious and soulfully seasoned to the taste.
VAGAINZ LA is open Monday through Friday in the Inglewood, the City of Champions. A phenomenal place to pick up some wholesome vegan cuisine for lunch or dinner.
