The brilliant writer and musician, PJ Morton recently released a one of a kind soulful album entitled, Gumbo Unplugged. I just happened to be scrolling down my Facebook timeline one day to discover a video featuring PJ Morton and Yebba in studio singing one of his title tracks, How Deep is Your Love. At first listen, I was hooked and immediately went to itunes to download the entire project.
Once again the first cut on the project, First Began made my heart start to flutter. I could not stop listening to the texture and soul imparted into this album. By far the best album I’ve heard in years. It is the kind of project that reinforces the idea of love, religion and embracing the reality of freedom. In my mind every track is a hit.
