Last evening (May 6, 2019) in New York at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute spring exhibition opening night of the esteem MET GALA was absolutely spectacular. The inspired theme was Camp: Notes on Fashion by Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay Notes on Camp, which examines how the elements of irony, humor, parody, pastiche, artifice, theatricality, and exaggeration are expressed in fashion.
I can agree this year the celebrities brought their A-Game to the carpet with no limitations. It was a breath of fresh air, which captured the essence of the evening theme. I loved every minute of the carpet and watching social media postings.
